Tell our readers all about yourself?

I am the creative and editor behind the lovilee blog. Wifey, mommy of two and aspiring home decorator. I started lovilee.co.za almost eight years ago, never with the intention of anyone else reading it.

Even though I have a BSc in Mathematical Sciences and a background working in corporate, I have always loved to create. I am so privileged to be able to run lovilee and share what interests me with others. I believe that if you do what you love you will love what you do!

What is the main mission of your blog and what content can they expect to find there?

The blog is a place where I get to share the things I do, things I love or where I introduce my readers to lovilee brands. I have a passion for decorating be it interiors or parties, so there is always a party, wedding or other celebration (or unicorn) popping out somewhere.

The sole purpose of the blog is to inspire you to replicate some of the things that gets shared. If I add a smile to your face then I have achieved my mission!

What is your greatest passion?

Making, creating and inspiring others.

What or who inspires you to live your best life?

Sjo, I think that there are quite a few people that I can mention…

STRENGTH: My mom, she is a cancer survivor and just always there when you need her to be!

CREATIVE: My BFF Liezel Glaubitz from www.matchsetlove.com who resides in the Netherlands, she owns and runs a very successful small business and we are literally on whatsapp with each other DAILY!

BLOGGING: Ask Ashe!!!! Nicola Ashe is my icon! http://www.askashe.com/

WISDOM: Definitely my dad, he is one of the wisest people that I know. If you need advice he is the person to visit.

Where can we find you in your spare time?

Hmm, this is easy, ANYTHING creative, making or prettifying. This includes painting walls, making cards, vinyl, decorative items or my most recent project, styling a dolls house for the princess. Well everything except baking…

How do you get balance in your life?

I work in corporate twice a week, run the blog at night after everyone is asleep and am busy with family activities during the day. I started feeling very overwhelmed towards the end of last year and decided to move out of my comfort zone.

As someone who never really did exercise (the sweating part gets to me every time) I decided to go to a personal trainer once a week. An hour of just switching off and doing something really productive and have recently started playing cardio tennis once a week as well.
