Tell our readers all about yourself?

My name is Luchae Williams, I am a young wifey and mommy to four amazing children who totally and completely tire me out every single day of my life, but I kinda like it! I blog over at My Spreadsheet Brain where I talk about exactly this and how I manage to balance life as a working mama.

What is the main mission of your blog and what content can they expect to find there?

My blog is unapologetically honest. I know that picture perfect snap shots are the new “in thing” but the truth is my life is pretty messy at times. And I’d like to think that I’m not the only loony toon out there. I mean, you can’t contour your life……hey, I should tweet that!

What is your greatest passion?

I live a faith-based life and I can honestly say that my relationship with God is my saving grace. I gave birth to my first born at the tender age of 19 (me, not him)… so my induction into motherhood was pretty bumpy! I do believe that my faith kept my grounded and stable, to the point that I can now be a functioning parent to my 2 newest additions and my handsome stepson. God turns your “mess” into your “message”. (I should tweet that too!)

What or who inspires you to live your best life?

Everything and everyone. I believe that you have the ability to affect the atmosphere. Your words are powerful! So I’m always mindful of what I put out there… am I speaking LIFE or death? I love making people laugh and seeing them happy. I mean, I’d like to think that I’m a bit like Superman. I don’t have an actual super power, but my ability to affect/inspire/motivate others is kinda cool.

Where can we find you in your spare time?

If I tell you that, I’m going to have to kill you. Kidding! I guess I should say “asleep”, but I’m always so super busy that sleep is kind of a luxury. I love serving our Music&Creative Arts department at my home church, Word of Faith Christian Centre, in Port Elizabeth. So if I have a minute, I’m probably there! I also co-host our annual Eastern Cape based blogger convention called #ECMeetUp. Planning for this happens literally every other minute of the day, when I’m not mom-ming or wife-ing.

How do you get balance in your life?

Calendars! Lists! Spreadsheets! I love making a list and checking it twice (channeling my inner Santa) and I have a thing for synchronized calendars. (I’m sure my hubby installed one on his phone just to get a kick out of me)

What “rules” do you live by?

You can’t control anyone except yourself!

What three things could you not live without?

The three things I must have everyday is: My cellphone, My daily planner and tissues.

(I know, the last one is so random! I wish I could say something quirky like “my eyebrow contour kit”, but my eyebrows haven’t matched since 2001 and I doubt it ever will.)

TOP 3 recommendations for the mommies reading this post?

Product recommendations that I have to share with you:

  1. Christian Art Media has the BEST daily planners! They have zips (so you can store your slips of paper) and amazing inspirational quotes, to help you start your day right!
  2. Essence Long Lasting eye pencil (because who has the actual time to “touch up” your make up… seriously)
  3. Tommee Tippee is the only feeding gear I’ve introduced to my small ones. Their bottles and sippy cups are well priced and excellent!
