Aisha O’Reilly – Aisha & Life

Tell our readers all about yourself? I’m a professional creative and I blog about motherhood, natural hair and beauty in my spare time. I’m married with a son and two dogs. I love to chatting to people, eating good food and traveling. If I can enjoy all of those at the same time, I’ll be in heaven. What is the main mission of your blog and what content can they expect to find there? My main mission is to inspire women by sharing my story. There are two things I believe aren’t talked about enough in many women’s lives and that’s natural hair and an honest take on motherhood so that’s what you’ll find on my blog. I believe in being open and sharing my truth with others so they don’t feel as alone as I have in those areas of my life. What is [...]

Tracey Porter – The Milk Memoirs

Tell our readers all about yourself? Hey there lovelies! My name is Tracey, and I’m an animal loving, full time IT professional working mom to my three little beasties Morgan-Lee (6yrs old), Parker-Grace (4 years old) and Yuriko-Mae ( 6 months old). (and God-willingy more to come). I love food, and have a serious penchant for cookies. Especially Oreos. When I’m not clocking in the hours at the office, I can be found staring at my baby like a love-sick puppy, or elbow deep in glitter and glue crafting with my girls, or running and rolling in the grass with them. Or at the very least WISHING I had more energy to do so! Lord knows energy is a rare commodity in this parenting game, and thus spend so much of my brain power reminding myself, that its great to juggle all the balls, but [...]

Charlene Bhana – High Heels & Fairy Tales

Tell our readers all about yourself? My name is Charlene, and I’m a wife, mommy, and blogger. I have one little girl, who’s 8 years old and in grade 3. I’ve been homeschooling my little one since 2015 (grade R). I love to travel, as do my husband and child. And if it were possible, we’d gladly spend all our time exploring places new to us. I started blogging a few years ago - I’ve always loved writing, and blogging was the natural direction for me to head in when I decided to get the ol’ brain working again. I’d been entirely focused on breastfeeding, diapers, and nursery rhymes for so long; blogging was something “grown up” that I could do for myself. What is the main mission of your blog and what content can they expect to find there? It’s a parenting, travel, and [...]

Fast forward a couple of years… The Candi-clan is growing strong with the addition of 2 more littles. We have THREE beautiful, bubbly girls filling our home with joy, messiness, LOADS of chatter and love. Challenges are inevitable and even with so much negativity in the world, I am determined to make the most out of this “motherhood journey”. Filling our lives with God, love, adventure, fun and the odd Mojito or two. Together with Mr. perfect we share the ups, downs, highs, lows and pajama drill moments as [...]

Maz Halliday – Caffeine & Fairydust

Tell our readers all about yourself? I am a young(ish), heavily tattooed and somewhat “out there” mom of two adorable kids – Mikayla & Knox. We recently packed up our suburban lives and moved out to a farm just outside of Cape Town. Farm life is pretty rad, and people always give me the strangest looks when I tell them about our adventures! I started my blog back in 2014 as a way to document my pregnancy – I knew that it was probably going to be the last so I really wanted to remember it all. I don’t know what happened, or how – but the blog became a bit of an overnight success and it has grown tremendously since, despite my terrible spelling. I also work full time as a senior fashion designer for a local clothing manufacturer and squeeze in freelance graphic [...]

Cindy Alfino – 3 Kids, 2 Dogs and 1 Old House

Tell our readers all about yourself? There’s not much to tell really, I’m just a Mom like all of you trying to make it through to the end of the day with just a touch of sanity left and without any human excretions on my clothing. I’m hardly ever successful in that last one though, somehow three kids produce a lot of um, excretions. My husband and I have been together for a flipping long time now (15 years) and we still like seeing each other in the morning. We have three kids, Kyla (8), Riya-Ray (7) and Knox (5). We stay in the seemingly ever sunny and waterless Cape Town but manage to make it through OK. In a couple of months we’re going to be packing up everything and setting off in our campervan around the country – crazy as it may seem. [...]

Susann Dessel – Goddess

Tell our readers all about yourself? I am Susann, a farm girl from Limpopo that somehow ended up in Jozi with an Irishman, 3 black cats, a kid – and a story. I have given almost 5 years of my life to chase a dream that specialists said I should give up on. When they said I will never have my own child and will never fall pregnant, husband and I decided that we will try until the day I cannot cope with it anymore. As time passed and the bad news kept on coming year after year, I kept on picking myself up and doing it again until eventually we had 1 kid. We are still working towards adding to our family. What is the main mission of your blog and what content can they expect to find there? Telling authentic stories that will [...]
